- Where does the price come from?
- Every night we check dealer ads across Australia and see which cars sell. Your price comes from cars like yours, using MotorMetrics, the engine Australian dealers use.
- Is the price an offer?
- No. It is an estimate of what cars like yours sell for at dealers. It is not an offer to buy, and not a guarantee.
- Why is the trade-in range lower than the market price?
- A dealer pays to fix, advertise and hold the car, and needs a margin. Selling privately can get you closer to the market price.
- What does the confidence label mean?
- How much to lean on the number. High means plenty of close sales. Low means a rare car or few recent sales. It is not a percentage or the chance your car sells at that price.
- Why can't you find my plate?
- Check the state, and check for mix-ups such as O and 0, I and 1, S and 5. Or pick the make and model yourself.
- What does sold mean on a car?
- The ad came down. The price is the last price it was advertised at, not a confirmed sale price.
- Do prices include government charges?
- No. Prices exclude government charges (EGC).
